Ungh… Shoes, must find my shoes.

Well that’s the first thing Jon Pertwee said as the third Doctor after his successful regeneration. I was tempted to go with the simple but perfect “Brilliant”, which was of course Jodie Whittaker’s opener as the thirteenth Doctor.

What are you on about you ask? Well this as it happens is the fifth regeneration of miskatonic.co.uk in the last thirteen years. Its purpose hasn’t changed much this time around but my intent has.

This clean and sparkly incarnation comes with plans to focus more heavily on my games projects. Specifically on my writing and game design, which is the reason you will find Rebellion 1745 featuring large on the menu bar. I’ve been tinkering with this for three years and I’ve been mumbling about it for three before that. I’m setting myself the target of completing it in the next fifteen months.

In addition to that I plan on running more games in 2024 and meeting new gamers online - to that end I’ll be setting myself up on Startplaying and finally putting a price on my skills as a GM. In doing that I intend to really lean into using Alchemy RPG as my platform of choice for some immersive theatre of the mind gaming.

So new website, new resolve and at least one post under my belt already. Time for a jelly baby!
