That ENnie Time Of Year…

ENnies Logo The Gen Con EN World RPG Awards (the “ENnies”) are an annual fan-based celebration of excellence in tabletop roleplaying gaming. The ENnies give game designers, writers and artists the recognition they deserve. It is a peoples’ choice award, and the final winners are voted upon online by the gaming public.

they have been around now since 2001 and play an important part in the hobby, recognizing not only the games but also the components that make a game great to the types of products fans have come to love, categories for fan-based websites and much more, the ENnies are the best way for fans to acknowledge outstanding effort from and to say “thank you” to the publishers, designers and artists who make this hobby great.

This year we at miskatonic are thrilled to see such diversity in the nominees, no one publisher really dominates the nominations and there are some really great products, publishers and other contributors to the hobby nominated. In particular we urge you to take time to check out the nominees in the category of “Best Blog” – we know only too well just how hard and time consuming creating a good RPG blog really is and the nominees in this category are all something special.

We would also like to give a shout out and show our support for Achtung! Cthulhu – Three Kings (Chronicle City/Modiphius Entertainment) which is nominated in the “Best Adventure” category.  Anyone who has backed the Kickstarter for Achtung! Cthulhu or read any of the other fantastic material that has been produced by Modiphius in recent times will, I hope, be thrilled to see this nomination.

Of course it all counts for naught without your votes, so head on over to the electronic voting booth here and cast your votes.  You have until July 31st to cast your votes and the 2013 ENnies ceremony will take place on Friday, August 16 at 8 p.m. in the Union Station Grand Hall at Gen Con Indy.  (Only wish that I could be there…)

Happy voting – Ia! F’tgan
